Mary Ann Potts, age 64 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away July 5, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on February 4, 1958, daughter of the late Michael Allen and Emma Jean Burdette Wheatley. Mary Ann was an employee of the Breckinridge County Board of Education where she worked for many years driving a bus and preparing meals in the Ben Johnson cafeteria. She was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church. Mary Ann spent many years working at the FFA Leadership Training Camp during the summer months and Pizza Tonight on the weekends. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Golden Girls and family trips. She loved her dogs Rocco, Alley and Milo, but she received the most joy from her grandson Jax. She could be found on her porch having her morning cup of coffee, a time that was very peaceful to her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Potts and her son Robert Potts,II.
Mary Ann is survived by 2 sons – James Michael (Deanna) Williamson of Williamson, GA and Dylan (Lindsey) Potts of Axtel, KY
1 grandson – Jaxon Potts of Williamson, GA
5 brothers – Ronnie (Cheryl) Wheatley of Kuttawa, KY; Mike (Terri) Wheatley of Owensboro, KY; Tom (Mabel) Wheatley of Eddyville, KY; Raphael (Vicki) Wheatley of Hawesville, KY and Kenny Wheatley of Jacksonville, FL

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, 4-8 PM and 8:30 – 9:30 AM Saturday. The rosary will be recited t 7 PM on Friday.
