Joe Allen Mingus, age 66 of Cloverport, KY passed away July 2, 2022 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Breckinridge County on December 8, 1955 to William and Myrtle Smith Mingus. Joe was a member of Black Lick Baptist Church and a self-employed carpenter. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed trap shoots and rabbit hunting. He was a woodworker and watched FOX News to keep up with world happenings.
He was preceded in death by his mother Myrtle Mingus and his son Brandon Mingus.

his father Billy Mingus of Cloverport, KY
3 grandchildren Waylon, Wyatt and Callie and his “best buddy” Brayden
2 brothers – Doug (June) Mingus of Cloverport, KY and Billy Carroll (Judy) Mingus of Grandview, IN
1 sister- Nancy (Bobby) Priest of Bewleyville, KY
several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 5 PM with burial in the Black Lick Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 PM on Wednesday.
