While most details are still unavailable, Sonic Drive-In’s second Owensboro location is expected to open in early 2023, a spokesperson told Owensboro Times. The additional Sonic location will be at 2510 West Parrish Avenue next to Taco Bell.
On behalf of the franchisee, a Sonic spokesperson told OT via email that “While we don’t have any specific details to offer currently, we plan to open the new Owensboro location in early 2023.”
OT broke the news of the new location in February. In part, a statement sent in February by a member of the Sonic public relations team reads:
“The location will be in addition to the current Owensboro drive-in … We look forward to bringing even more of the one-of-a-kind Sonic Drive-In dining experience and all the craveable flavors and convenience our menu offers to the Owensboro community.”
There is also currently a Sonic Drive-In located at 3107 Frederica St.
