Myrna Elaine Atherton, 58, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away May 23, 2022. She was born February 29, 1964 in Owensboro to Barbara Lappie Atherton and the late Dorris Miller Atherton.
Myrna enjoyed the outdoors and nature. She loved reading in her spare time and collecting frog figurines. Myrna loved her family and being with them on any given occasion brought her joy.
Along with her mother, she is survived by her children, Stormy (Kara) Jones and Laura (Jeremy) Edelen; grandchildren, Dylan and Will Atherton; one great-grandchild on the way; and siblings, Rebecca Frisbee and Paul Atherton.
A sharing of memories will take place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the funeral home.
