Ben Hawes Golf Course will offer the PGA Jr. League — a competitive golf league for youngsters between the ages of 6 and 13 — this spring. At the conclusion of the league, an all-star team will be created to compete at the Kentucky State Championships.

The registration deadline is April 30, and the cost to participate is $225 per player. For more information or to register, call course manager and program director Charles Whelan at 270-687-7137.

“This is a great way for your child to improve his or her golf game in a team setting,” Whelan said.

Organizers will form teams, playing and practicing on the par-3 course.

All participants will receive a PGA Junior League jersey, a hat, and a PGA Jr. League bag tag.

Whelan is also in search of volunteers and individuals to coach the teams.
