William Joseph Smith, 72, of Cloverport, KY passed away on March 2, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Uncle Bill was born on May 11, 1949 to the late James Ollie Smith and Versie Smith. He was a simple man who enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, dancing and most any outdoor activity. Uncle Bill was a storyteller and was always happy to share “his” stories. He enjoyed spending time with Drake and Harmony (Baby Girl as he would call her).
Uncle Bill was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, John, James Allen and Aaron and sisters, Dorothy, Jean and Margween
He leaves behind to mourn his passing, “as we all know”, his favorite niece, Little Becky Jones and her husband, Trent, and their children, Brennen, Drake and Harmony.
Sisters: Marcella Diehl (Jim) of Hardinsburg, KY and Roberta Wirtz of Greenville, IL
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 10-1 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home
Funeral services at 1 PM
