Jennifer “Peaches” Schrooten Chaney, 37, left this world in Chattanooga, Tennessee to join her Grandma Angie and Grandpa Bill on September 25, 2018. She was born in Owensboro, KY on October 17, 1980. Jennifer donated her organs so that others may have a chance to be with their loved ones. She loved the beach, gardening and dancing in the moonlight. We will miss her smile, laughter and kindness. Jennifer was in the Daviess County High School marching band and graduated from Western Kentucky University. She worked for Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, many local restaurants and was a member of First Baptist Church.
To celebrate her life, she left behind her Grandma “GG” Ardis Schrooten of Mitchell, South Dakota; her parents, Wes and Deb Schrooten of Owenboro; her loving companion, Vincent Carida of Owensboro; brothers, Ben (Virginia) Schrooten and Brett (Danielle) Schrooten, both of Louisville, KY; her little angel, Lilyann Chaney of Reed, KY; her nieces, Abigail and Victoria Schrooten; and all of her favorite aunts, uncles, cousins and friends (you all know who you are!)
Visitation is from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 904, Owensboro, KY 42302 or to “Jennifer Chaney Remembrance Fund” at gofundme.com/jennifer-chaney-remembrance-fund
