Ella Faith Weatherford, age 89 of Cloverport, KY passed away February 4, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Dallas, Oregon on January 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Leonard and Jean Hunt McCaleb. Ella was a homemaker, a pastor’s wife and minister who attended Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. She enjoyed being outdoors, quilting and crafts. She was a songwriter of gospel music, enjoyed playing the accordion and organ and singing with her husband Joe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ira Joe Weatherford and siblings Donald, Theo “Bud”, Cleo, Sheila and Connie.
Ella is survived by 4 children: Joe David (Ginny) Weatherford of Tennessee; Merry Jeanne (Mick) Wilborn of Owensboro, KY; Jewel (William) Hilbert and Joy (Randy) Griffith of Cloverport, KY
1 brother: Leonard “Jiggs” McCaleb of Salem, Oregon
14 grandchildren: Brandon, Ashley, Casey, Daniel, Carlos, Nathan, Liz, Alex, Andy, Kristen, April, Joshua, Samantha and Reanell
14 great grandchildren: Vera, Corbyn, Trevor, Bailee, Cynthia, Connor, Chloe, Robyn, Annabelle, Kaiden, Eli, Isiah, Blake and Mason
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1 PM with burial in the McQuady Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM Saturday.
