Crews have extinguished a vehicle fire in the 6100 block of U.S. 60 East, according to Daviess County Fire Department Chief Jeremy Smith.
Smith said the fire started in the cab of a tractor pulling an empty flatbed. The driver smelled something, noticed smoke, and immediately exited the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
DCFD units 401, 400, and 331, along with the Thruston-Philpot Fire Department, were dispatched to the scene.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
